Ealer
S. Wadlington III, is a copy editor for the Cincinnati
Enquirer's Life Department. He has been a journalist for
over 20 years. Mr. Wadlington started at the Enquirer in 1986
and started his martial arts journey that same year with
Senior Master Charlie Fry. "I would help paint the
old school, Fry's Taekwondo on Isebella Street in Newport,
for an hour and then practice my forms for an hour,"
the 3rd degree black belt and assistant instructor says
with pride.
Mr. Wadlington has returned to the Tristate area after being
gone for 12 years. He has lived in Jackson, Tenn., Arlington,
Va., and Fayetteville, N.C.
Mr.
Wadlington is a former certified Tae-Bo instructor, former
certified Senior Citizen's Tae-Bo instructor and a former
certified Step Aerobics instructor. He is qualified to teach
the Escrima sticks, and nunchakus. Mr. Wadlington assists
in Self-Defense seminars and R.A.P.E. classes. He has currently
added kickboxing and Combat Hapkido to his training.
Mr.
Wadlington
is proud of his two beautiful daughters. Erika Wadlington,
21, is a 1st degree decided Black Belt and is a Junior on
scholarship at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Vania
Wadlington, 18, is a 1st degree recommended Black Belt and
is a Freshman at Wake Forest Community College outside of
Raleigh, N.C.
Mr.
Wadlington is active in the church singing in the choir
and is a member of the Welcome Team. In his spare time he
enjoys Latin and Island dancing. He also enjoys jazz and
collecting Hotwheels.
